Parish Pilgrimages

Parish Pilgrimages offer pilgrims a chance to spend time together for a few days, to grow together as a community as they journey, pray, visit new places, talk, eat, help each other, & meet new people who share their special places with us.

Our annual pilgrimage is ultimately about the journey.  For four days we travel together, reflecting the journey we are on through the whole of our lives.  In 2007 we took in the Cathedrals of Eastern England, Lincoln and Southwell Minster on our way to Ely, with a visit to Norwich and the Julian Shrine, and St Edmondsbury and Peterborough on the return journey. It is a wonderful opportunity to be community as we journey, discover, visit new places and appreciate the wonders of God’s creation and of the amazing buildings constructed by our forebears. We meet new people, talk, laugh and assist each other.  We share food, drink and good companionship. Pilgrimages are truly wonderful experiences.

In June 2008 we plan to travel Douai, Oxford, Salisbury and Winchester and next year we shall journey much further afield to the Holy Land.
