Sunday Mass

At English Martyrs' we pride ourselves on offering a welcoming and family friendly Sunday Mass.

Sunday Mass is held at 11.00am

  • Music at Mass

    • The choir help to lead the worship through music at the 11am mass in a “folk style” which combines traditional hymns with modern hymns.

  • Children's Liturgy

    • Children's Liturgists try to introduce the stories of the bible to the children in an interesting way that they can both understand  and enjoy, through mediums such as music & art. For children aged 4 - 11 years it is a great opportunity to make friends, play games and listen to stories about Jesus' adventures.

  • The Sacrament of Baptism

    • takes place on the last Sunday of the month and is incorporated into the Sunday Mass, creating a wonderful spiritual event involving the whole parish family.

  • Parent and Child Area

    • There is an area set aside  in the the church. Here you will find a place where small children can play quietly with a whole array of child friendly toys and activities. e hope that the area will allow you to keep your children occupied whilst still being able to remain in church with us to celebrate the Eucharist.

  • Tea and Coffee

    • Tea and Coffee are served in St Thomas' Room after Sunday Mass. This offers parishioners an opportunity to socialise, in a relaxed and welcoming environment, with other members of our parish community.
